Rain doesn’t stop Brymore
On Wednesday 21st November, after much overnight rain, the village of Cannington and the surrounding area was completely flooded with many roads closed. Brymore resolutely remained open and despite the bottom of the drive being covered with water and our tree-lined driveway in an almost river like state boys made it up in a tractor – true Brymore Resourcefulness, Responsibility and Resilience at its very best! Boys deliver new calf
A number of our Year 11 boys helped ‘Tabatha’ our Jersey cow deliver her new calf, ensuring that their practical Agriculture lesson was definitely a vocational experience that day.
Author Beth Webb visits
Published local author, Beth Webb, came into the school to meet with the members of Brymore Book Club this week. With it being close to Halloween and with Beth a writer of some gruesome and scary tales the LRC was dressed up to resemble a witches coven in time for some spooky storytelling. Brymore celebrates 60 years!
As Brymore School begins its diamond jubilee celebration year we welcomed the class of 1952 who returned to visit us. The Brymore Boys along with the first Deputy Head, Alan Hemming, were greeted by some of the current students and the Head, Mark Thomas, before being given a personalised tour of the school as it is now along with some tea and cake with the Senior Student Leadership Team.
