Extra-Curricular Activities

Brymore has a strong boarding ethos, which means that a full academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular programme is offered daily. From morning to evening there is a huge amount on offer, whether boys are out-boarders or full boarders.

Boys have a vast range of extra-curricular activities to choose from including a comprehensive sporting programme operating during curriculum time, after school and at the weekends. The extra-curricular programme has been specifically developed to engage and enthuse boys interests, ranging from sports, recreational pursuits, engineering and personal development to experiencing the great outdoors, arts and enhancing their cultural awareness.

Major sports are on offer to our students including rugby, football, hockey, cricket, swimming and athletics. Alongside these there are many other sports also available including basketball, badminton, table tennis, triathlon, volleyball, road and mountain biking, fitness training archery and boxing training.

The extra-curricular programme provides pupils with many opportunities throughout their time at Brymore to develop lifelong skills such as leadership and team work through involvement in  team sports, young farmers club, public speaking, farm and garden duties and  the running of numerous leadership groups throughout the school to mention but a few.

Throughout the year the extra-curricular programme, which takes place during lunch times, after school and weekends, offers over 100 activities, covering a diverse range of opportunities to become involved in Brymore life including, Lego club, 10 pin bowling, Airhop, cinema trips, welding, engineering, RC car club, fitness , circuit training, cookery, boarding house activities / games and many more.

Every year there are new additions to the programme and as a boarding school we endeavour to match the needs of our students. Brymore has excellent facilities including many pitches, Swimming Pool, Fitness Room, Gymnasium, purpose built mountain bike track, forge, engineering workshops, tennis and multi use games area and use of a nearby golf course. The School is set in beautiful grounds providing space for students to unwind, socialise or simply to relax.
