Parent testimonial (Year 11 leaver 2011)

Since first visiting Brymore, we were struck by the way it was described by boys, staff, parents and old boys … they all talked about it with a passion.  Now, with our son in his third year, we understand that passion, and wish to pass on our own experiences of Brymore to others.

Brymore has given our son the chance to flourish:- to grow in self-confidence, self-motivation and self-respect … and yet it is not all about ‘self’. He has learned the benefits of working as part of a team; of mentoring other boys and being responsible during farm/workshop duties.

Encouraged by Brymore’s  dedicated staff and clear ethics, he has become self-disciplined and motivated to have a go … at everything from caving, to cross-country running, to Duke of Edinburgh Awards. He has found adventure in academic subjects, too, already achieving a B in GCSE English, and with high expectations for gaining good grades in all 10 subjects.

Brymore is great at recognising potential, and encouraging the best, and is – above all – a friendly, caring and inspiring place of learning.
