All students are set prep (homework) and are expected to spend a minimum of one hour per evening (Monday – Friday) ensuring it is completed.
Prep takes place in classrooms and is supervised by the house parent with additional support available for those who need it. In years 10 and 11 staff will occasionally withdraw whole classes or year groups from prep in order to deliver an extra ‘lesson’ so that a more direct input can be given.
Since September 2017, we have launched the new ‘Show My Homework’ app. Each student is issued with a login and a password and parents are also encouraged to access the app to monitor their son’s homework. Staff set homework on ‘Show My Homework’ so that everyone is able to see what is being set and check that it is being completed.
