Brymore School notched up two winners, a second and a third at the recent Somerset Young Farmers Annual Calf Rally.
A small group of Brymore students travelled to Bristol on the day with their livestock to show them for judging. James Kerry and Gareth Stockton, both Year 10 pupils were crowned champions of their individual classes with their Beef Shorthorn and Aberdeen Angus calves. Ben Lyons and Jordon Wade came second and third in their hotly contested classes.
Steve Bryant, Farm Technician at Brymore said ‘It’s a great experience for the lads that attended and they really gain from it but to come away with all the boys being placed in their classes is a real achievement’.
